Types of Frequency Standards
Types of frequency standards include Active Hydrogen MASERs, as well as Cesium, Rubidium, and Quartz frequency standards.

Hydrogen MASER Frequency Standards
Symmetricom offers the only US made Active Hydrogen MASER with stand alone Cavity Switching Auto Tuning. The Symmetricom MHM 2010 frequency standard can deliver long-term stability (typically less than one part in 1016 per day) with very low hydrogen usage (<0.01 mole per year) for extended maintenance-free operation. Our Active Hydrogen MASER has a demonstrated life of greater than 15 years.

Cesium Frequency Standards
Symmetricom makes a number of cesium beam frequency standard instruments for commercial, military and space applications and designs and manufacturers the cesium beam clocks for the Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites. These cesium standards have a legacy of dependability and reliability. Their accuracy and stability of have been proven ideal for the most stringent applications in navigation, communications and timing. Rubidium Frequency Standards
Symmetricom manufactures rubidium gas cell frequency standards for various applications including digital network timing, navigation timing, secure tactical communications and secondary references for manufacturing, simulators and GPS receivers. Ranging from rack mounted instruments to militarized components these rubidium standards offer low per month aging rates, excellent long-term stability performance, configuration flexibility, small size, low weight and cost effectiveness.

Quartz Frequency Standards
Symmetricom manufactures low noise quartz frequency standard oscillators for high stability and precision for instrumentation and satellite applications. Our quartz products provide superior spectral purity and short-term frequency stability. Our cost-effective quartz standards feature multiple frequency output signals for numerous uses, such as reference signals for up-converting to higher frequencies, stable clock or reference signal in communications and telecommunications equipment, reference signals for calibrating other instruments, and for recreating clean signal in long distribution runs.
